BBQ Pork Tenderloin

Spring is here and it’s time to start grilling again. We’ve actually been grilling on and off all winter since it’s so warm here in Florida. We love doing grilled wings on the weekends.

They make the perfect food for watching the game or Sunday afternoon movies. This past Sunday though I wanted to make something a little different, so I decided to grill up a couple of pork tenderloins.

I usually keep my BBQ sauce on ribs, but I thought why not enjoy all those delicious BBQ seasonings on some lean pork tenderloin instead of fatty ribs. So I seasoned my pork loin similarly to the way I do ribs, and then smothered it in my favorite BBQ sauce.

First I used a dry rub with lots of smoky paprika and smoky cumin with a few other spices. Here I have 2 pork tenderloins, but the recipe I wrote for 1 pork tenderloin. I always make way too much food, we love leftovers!

Then I just place it on the hot grill.

And turn it just once.

Then smother it in BBQ sauce.

This recipe can also be done in your oven instead of the grill. Just place the pork tenderloin on a roasting or cooking rack over a sheet pan in your oven.

I served this pork tenderloin with kale and baked sweet potatoes. It made a beautiful Sunday dinner.
