Chunky Guacamole with Serrano Peppers
This post brought to you by Avocados from Mexico. All opinions are 100% mine.
It’s getting very close to that big game that we all look forward to every year, whether it’s for the actual game, or just the commercials, or both. The Super Bowl XLVI will be February 5 this year. I can’t wait. One of traditions, along with whatever appetizer I may make, is lots of chips and guacamole. It’s the perfect party food for entertaining. I make it lots of different ways but this guacamole with serrano peppers is my new favorite way.
Using serrano peppers instead of jalapenos add a little more heat, and a slightly different flavor. If you love spicy foods, you will love using serranos in your guacamole instead of traditional jalapeno peppers.
In support of the big game, Avocados from Mexico is holding an amazing guacamole recipe contest with some fabulous prizes. The thing i love about guac is that it’s always fantastic when you start with a good ripe avocado. I usually avoid the organic avocados unless they’re at a better stage of ripeness. Love the photo

You know… I usually just add jalapeno to my guac. Throwing in some chopped serrano would really bump up the spice level. I’m liking this idea
