You all know I am a olive fanatic. My whole family is. we can’t get enough of them. I wanted to share with you today a new contest from one of my favorite olive brands, Lindsay Olives.
Lindsay Olives is having a “Love This Recipe” contest. There will be 6 categories, and each participant can submit one entry to each category. The categories are:
Appetizer (this can include tapenades, relishes, spreads, etc.)
Side dish
Main course
Snack
Meal on a Budget: $10 or less
Five ingredient fix
Entries will be judged on pre-set criteria created specifically for this contest. A few qualities Lindsay Olives will look for in the recipes include creativity, ease and taste appeal.
Entrants will be required to engage with social media as part of their entry. They will be asked to blog, tweet, or post something on Facebook about the contest.
“We hope that people will be excited to share their recipes on their blogs or Facebook pages,” said Jennifer Fuchs of Lindsay Olives. “It gives them something fun and new to talk about, and we think that it will really allow us to engage with our consumers.”
The contest will be open for entries on June 7.
One overall grand prize worth $1,000 will be awarded for what Lindsay Olives considers the best recipe. Six first prizes (one per category) and six second prizes (one per category) will also be awarded. All submissions are due by June 30, 2011.
