Sweet and Tangy Braised Turkey Legs {Le Creuset Giveaway}

braised turkey legs

I know Thanksgiving is over, but I didn’t get a Turkey leg. There’s only two per bird, and everyone at the table wants them. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I had a turkey leg it’s been so long. So I bought a package of them to make, so that we would each get our own turkey leg.

These sweet and tangy legs have an Asian flare, and are just as good made for the holidays or any day of the week. I started with Thai sweet chili sauce, and added lots of garlic, ginger and agave for even more sweetness. Some rice wine vinegar helps to balance the sweetness and add tenderness to the meat.

I braised them in this big beautiful Le Creuset French Oven. And guess what, I’m giving one of the big beauties away too! This big pot is perfect for big cuts of meat like turkey legs, roasts, whole chickens, ribs, soup for a small army – you get the idea. This baby is big, heavy and so roomy!

After my turkey legs had braised over low heat for about an hour, I served them garnished with cilantro, green onion and pomegranate arils for a punch of color. To go along side, I served roasted asparagus.
