Now that summer is in full swing, it’s time to plan some fun summer parties. Right now, I’m in the process of planning our Fourth of July festivities. Because my husband’s birthday is on the eighth and our town’s fireworks display and summer concert is always on the third, it seems like a week of nonstop party fun.
The most fun part of summer parties are the cocktails. And I love making frozen creations for my guests. They’re super easy to make and perfect to sip while lounging in and around the pool.
I’ve recently found these BACARDI® Mixers and I can’t say enough good things about them. They make creating frozen cocktails a cinch. Below are my three favs, a Margarita mix, a Strawberry Daiquiri mix and a Piña Colada mix. And my absolute favorite part about these mixers is they are non-alcoholic, so its’ easy to make tasty virgin mocktails for the kids. Yield: 5 - 6 cocktails
1/2 can of frozen BACARDI® Mixers Strawberry Daiquiri Mix
1/2 cup of BACARDI® Superior
11/8 cup fresh basil (finely chopped)
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
1/2 cup club sida
4 cups ice
Strawberries and basil for garnish
Blend together BACARDI® Mixers Strawberry Daiquiri mix, BACARDI® Superior, basil, strawberries, club soda and ice for 45 to 60 seconds or until uniform.
Pour into collins glasses, and garnish with fresh strawberry and basil leaves.
