Birthday Cake Cheesecake

For years I’ve asked my husband to forget about traditional birthday cakes and get me something else. He’s not a fan of cake either, and always requests an ice cream cake but I almost always prefer a cheesecake.

He usually buys a cheesecake from somewhere, because he’s either not confident in his baking skills, or just doesn’t want to do the dishes. I think it may be the later. He always asks me what cheesecake I want, and I always say just get me a Sara Lee cheesecake. Hey, I’m not fancy.

So this past birthday, my husband and son simply dressed up a simple Sara Lee cheesecake with chocolate sauce, whipped cream and sprinkles. It’s simple, cute and a great dessert to put together when you’re short on time.

Sara Lee cheesecakes are a great treat for special occasions that you can easily dress up like I’ve done here. You could also add a fruit sauce, fresh fruit, caramel or just about anything else that sounds good to you. These cheesecakes are also delicious on their own to enjoy just because.

You can find Sara Lee dessert products in the frozen food section of your local Walmart store. Keeping a Sara Lee Cheesecake or Pound Cake in your freezer is the perfect way to be prepared for easy entertaining at any time! Just thaw and serve!
