A few weeks ago, when this pregnancy heartburn really set in, I had to make some changes. And since my heartburn was almost instantly triggered by Friday night pizza, I knew I had to find a few different pizza recipes so that I could still enjoy pizza with my family. That’s when my sister-in-law gave me the idea to start making white pizzas with alfredo sauce instead of that acidic tomato sauce.

For this white pizza, I wanted to add lots of healthy vegetables for taste as well as nutrition. This pizza has broccoli, sautéed spinach and green bell peppers along with grilled chicken. It’s so easy to make, especially when using a pre-made crust. For this pizza, I used a thin crust pre-packaged pizza crust.

For the alfredo sauce, I like to use Bertolli®. It’s so creamy and delicious, and works just as well on this white pizza as it does in a traditional creamy alfredo pasta dinner. I always have a jar of it on hand in my pantry.

This pizza along with a simple salad makes a perfect Friday night pizza dinner.
