Chuck E. Cheese Fun

chuck e cheese

I haven’t been to a Chuck E. Cheese’s since way back when, when it was Showbiz Pizza. Back then I remember the animatronic rock band, tons of fun arcade games, and pizza! The few times I got to go with my school when I was a kid, was like winning the lottery for me. Now that my son is older, and into arcade games, I wanted to share some of that same fun with him. So last Sunday, we headed to Chuck E. Cheese’s for an afternoon of fun, games and pizza.

Before all the food and fun, you enter through the Kid Check area. Each parent and child receives a special stamp (that you can only see with a blacklight) with a matching number. This is their special way of making sure everyone who comes together leaves together. The store is well-lit and open so that you can always see where your kiddos are at all times.

We went at a really busy time. We approached the front counter and got some game tokens and ordered a pizza and drinks. Even though the place was packed, we were able to find a clean table in the corner. While we waited for our pizza, we played the arcade games. I had forgot that there are all type of arcade games in the store for all ages of kids and adults. My husband and I had just as much fun playing games as our son did. And we weren’t the only ones! You could see lots of other parents enjoying the arcade games too. Here’s my son pretending he’s exploring in outerspace.

And here’s Daddy teaching him horse racing.

They also have this elaborate crawling maze. My son was up here for a while. He loved it.

The store, even though extremely busy, felt like a happy, clean and safe place for my son. They even offer complimentary Purell hand sanitizer. I was also happy that it costs us about the same or less than bowling or a night out at the movies. Each game token is just 25 cents or less; the more you buy, the more you save. And while their pizza is good, there’s more to choose from. There’s a salad bar, wings, sandwiches and desserts. For more information, visit Chuck E.
