My son started Pre-K this year at a new, smaller school. I’ve been volunteering one or two days a week, helping the kids to read. It’s a great way to get to know his teachers plus the other kids and their parents a little bit better. So with these new friendships, has come playdates, and lots of them. Sometimes it’s at his friend’s house, and sometimes here. And I have to offer the kids and their moms a special treat when they come over.
So for this past weekend, when one of his playdates turned into a , “Can J.J. please mommy please oh please spend the night!?!” I knew I had to think up something easy and fun for the two little guys to make. Since I always keep a can of Pillsbury Cinnamon rolls in the fridge, I pulled them out and brainstormed a little before coming up with these mini cinnamon roll pops.
I got the kids to separate the dough, and then make two little cinnamon rolls, and insert a lollipop stick into them. Then when they came out of the oven, we just iced them and added sprinkles. It was super easy, and the boys had a blast doing it.
Yield: Serves 6
1 (12.4) ounce can Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls
1 tablespoon rainbow sprinkles
16 lollipop sticks
Unroll dough and roll from each end like so.
Using a serrated knife, separate the two small cinnamon rolls.
Insert a lollipop stick into cinnamon rolls.
Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 10 - 12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and drizzle with frosting and sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles.
