Grapefruit Margarita {Giveaway} #VivaLaRita

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bahama Breeze for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Guess what today is!?! It’s National Margarita Day! And while I can’t enjoy a tequila filled delicious margarita, I’ll be happily celebrating with a virgin margarita. There’s so many wonderful margaritas, but simple always wins, doesn’t it? By starting with the best quality tequila and using the freshest ingredients, you always end up with the best margaritas. I may be a bargain hunter when it comes to wine and beer, but life’s just too short for cheap tequila, am I right?

To celebrate today, I’ll be making these pretty grapefruit margaritas, both with and without tequila. Grapefruit is a great choice for virgin margaritas because the bite of the grapefruit juice prevents the drink from becoming overly sweet. It’s a great compromise when your knock-up and off the booze like me.

In celebration of National Margarita Day one of our favorite restaurants, Bahama Breeze, is also celebrating with Viva La ‘Rita. From today, February 22 to Cinco de Mayo (May 5), they will be celebrating the margarita in a fresh new way that will put sunshine in your smile and get everyone ready for warmer weather. During Bahama Breeze Viva La Rita you can join in the fun and celebrate with their new margaritas, Friday night parties, giveaways and live music!

I’m also giving away a $100 Bahama Breeze gift card to one lucky reader so you can experience Viva La ‘Rita for yourself! Just use the widget at the bottom of this post to enter.

Bahama Breeze is going to have four new specialty margaritas that I know people can’t wait to try. Luckily they also have the most wonderful Virgin Bahamarita™ that I’ll be able to enjoy while my friends and family are testing out the new drinks. I’ll be attending Viva La ‘Rita and sharing our experience soon. I can’t wait to share all the new yummy margaritas with you! Be sure to follow the hashtag #VivaLaRita to see all the fun and good times happening at Bahama Breeze during Viva La ‘Rita, and don’t forget to stop in yourself and join in the fun at Bahama Breeze before Cinco de Mayo on May 5!

So here’s the recipe for one of my favorite margarita, a grapefruit margarita. I’ll be enjoying a virgin version of this drink, but I’ll be making this recipe today for my friends and family. Since it’s also National grapefruit month, it’s a great time to have a grapefruit margarita! Let me know in the comments section below your favorite types of margaritas, or your tips for the best margaritas.
