This was the first time I made homemade granola. I couldn’t believe how easy it was.

4 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup sliced or slivered almonds
1 cup roughly chopped pecans
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup hemp seeds
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups raisins

1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Combine all ingredients, except raisins in a large bowl. Mix well with a spatula, or your hands.

2. Spread granola over 2 large sheet pans and bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to get a uniform browning.

3. After granola is done, add raisins and let cool. Store in an airtight container.

  1. It looks delicious! I grew up eating homemade granola that my mom used to make, so I’m not a big fan of packaged stuff. Once you make it once and see how good and how easy it is, you’ll never want to go back. And it’s perfect for a breakfast parfait with fruit and yogurt, it’s great sprinkled on ice cream, or try making some oatmeal cookies and mix this in instead of just plain oats! That would really yummy – especially with the coconut. Enjoy your Sunday!
