Prepare Your Kid’s Immune System for Back-To-School with Culturelle

I woke up this morning with anxious butterflies. I was nervous, my palms were sweating, my stomach was nauseous and my thoughts were racing. That’s because today was my son’s very first day of Kindergarten. Even though he went to pre-K last year, something’s different about this year. It’s his first real day of required school, and the beginning of his last year at his little schoolhouse. Next year he’ll graduate from Kindergarten at his small Montessori school, and make his way to the big kid school. Gulp.

This morning he was super excited, and not nervous at all. He couldn’t wait to see his old friends and favorite teachers. I was able to get this quick picture before he ran to the car.

Last week he got that cool new Darth Vador lunch box, some new containers for sandwiches and snacks, a water bottle. He also got some cute new Sketchers he couldn’t wait to wear this morning. I also made sure yesterday to get lots of kiddie type foods for his lunches like fruits, baby carrots, celery and juice boxes.

Even though he’s going to be eating healthy, I know he’ll be sick this week or next. Back to school means lots of kid germs. He always gets sick (either a cold or stomach bug) from other kids in the first few weeks of school, and then several times throughout the school year.

So this year in preparation for school, I also got some of these chewable Probiotics. I’ve been taking probiotics myself for about 6 months, and have noticed an improvement in my digestive and overall health. So when I found these probiotics for kids, I couldn’t wait for my son to try them out too.

Culturelle’s LGG probiotic has been extensively studied for safety in children and those studies have shown that Culturelle:

  • Helps support kids’ natural defense systems
  • Helps reduce occasional digestive upset
  • Supporting kids’ natural defense systems is important to promoting their overall health as well as helping to alleviate occasional digestive distress.

Culturelle Kids Chewables support a child’s health by fostering the proper balance between good bacteria and the non-benefical bacteria that resides in the gastrointestinal tract.

Culturelle Kids Chewables contain Lactobacillus GG, one of the most clinically studied probiotic strain. It is demonstrated to survive harsh stomach acids to get where it’s needed most in the intestines and is recognized as safe for regular use. Research has shown that Lactobacillus GG alleviates occasional digestive distress while supporting a child’s natural defenses.

My son loves the taste, and it’s easy to get him to take these along with his chewable vitamins in the morning. I’m hoping as the school year progresses, Julien’s sick days will be few and far between.

I’m going to need to try this before my son starts school in another year. My son gets sick way too much and I as thinking how many sick days he ill probably take because of it. Its so exciting when they head off to school for the first time isn’t it? I’m excited but scared for my little man. I still have another year to go though.
