Lemon Zucchini Bread
It’s almost Mother’s Day! Mother’s Day is such an important holiday for me where I can honor not only the mothers in my family but also my husband’s family and all the other mothers in our lives that contribute so much to the success of our family. I’ve been beyond lucky in my life to have had the most influential, strong, independent mothers that helped guide me through different life stages.
That’s why I’m so excited that we’ll be having a little Mother’s Day Brunch at our house for the Moms this year. This is the lemon zucchini bread that I’ll be serving this Sunday along with mimosas, a veggie filled quiche and other goodies. I make my zucchini bread packed full of zucchini goodness, but not sugar. (Our Moms don’t like things too sweet!) This recipe doesn’t call for that much sugar, so if your mom has more of a sweet tooth than mine, you can bump up the sugar to 3/4 or 1 full cup.
Do you see those pretty dishes!?! Those are Q Squared Melamine dishes. They look and feel like light-weight porcelain, but have the durability of Melamine. Q Squared is made with 100% high-grade melamine and is more substantial than your typical melamine plate. You can feel the difference. Each piece is made with 100% natural dyes and hand-polished for a smooth, high-gloss finish, giving it that beautiful porcelain look.
And the best part about these dishes is that they are virtually unbreakable, so they’re toddler proof!
As you can see I’ve already got my tables cape ready to go. I just used some simple yellow napkins from the dollar store to compliment the dishes.
This is the Limonata Design from Q Squared. I absolutely adore the design. All of their designs are gorgeous. Each original pattern of dishes is hand-drawn by Manhattan-based designer Alaina Young, inspired by her travels and love of multicultural design. Q Squared melamine is a sophisticated, practical alternative to ceramics and china.
And this is just the dinner plate. I love the slightly different design. It’s just so beautiful.
There are so many patterns at Q Squared, each more beautiful than the last. I’m sure you’ll have a hard time deciding on just one pattern because they are just too nice!
