Pancakes for Halloween

Thinking about something fun to make for breakfast on Halloween morning? I’m sure your kids would love to make these cute little Halloween bats! They are so simple to make. I just used Bisquick with a little food coloring added. The trick I used to make their shape was to make my pancake batter a little thinner than normal and pour it into a squeeze bottle. Then it’s as simple as drawing on your griddle, using the colorful pancake batter as your “paint.”

Looks easy right? Well, it is! I made these with my son. He made a few, and I made a few. You just draw the shape, then flood in the shape with more batter. To make things even easier, we used a large electric skillet with lots of room to draw. He loved being able to create his pancakes.

We also made a few pumpkins. You could also make some green batter and use it for the stem and even add a little leaf if you like.

And we made a few cob web pancakes. I had alot of fun making these. So cute!

To decorate the bats, I used black writing icing for the smile, and two little chocolate chips for the eyes.

Happy Halloween!
