Now that it’s the middle of fall, there’s a slight chill in the air. It feels amazing. We’ve actually already been able to run our fireplace a few times over the past couple of weeks. But since it’s still pretty warm, we decided to get a fire pit for our backyard. This weather is perfect for sitting around afire in the backyard, enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and roasting some marshmallows for our favorite dessert – S’mores!
Whether inside or in the backyard, my favorite way to relax is to cuddle up by the fire with a warm mug of hot chocolate. It’s awonderful way to get together with family and friends. And I think a fire, especially a backyard fire, without the distraction of the television, is the perfect start to great conversations.
Hot chocolate is essential in our family for cool weather. We make all types of hot chocoalte, and I love trying out new flavor combinations. For this hot chocolate, I use International Delight White Chooclate Raspberry Coffee Creamer.
To start I heat my milk and white chocolate chips over medium heat, until the chocolate chips are melted. Then I add the International Delight White Chocolate Raspberry Coffee Creamer, and continue to heat until heated through. To serve, I garnish this decadent hot chocolate with whipped cream and fresh raspberries.

Yield: 4 servings
3 1/2 cups milk
6 oz white chocolate chips
1/2 cup International Delight White Chocolate Raspberry Coffee Creamer
whipped cream for garnish
fresh raspberries for garnish
Heat milk until steaming over medium heat. Add chocolate chips and stir well until melted. Add International Delight White Chocolate Raspberry Coffee Creamer, and combine well.
To serve, pour into mugs and garnish with whipped cream and fresh berries.
