Rum Balls

Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without some boozy dessert right? I made these delicious rum balls this morning with some Captain Morgan’s rum, Nilla wafers and chocolate. They are too easy. You process everything in the food processor, then roll them up by hand.

This recipe was developed for Babble’s Family Kitchen.

Rum Balls

1 – 12 oz package Nilla Wafers
1 cup pecans or walnuts
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup spiced rum
3 tablespoons corn syrup
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/2 cup powdered sugar to roll balls in

1. Add Nilla wafers to food processor, process until smooth. Add nuts and chocolate chips, process until smooth. Then add sugar, rum, corn syrup and cocoa powder. Process until mixture comes together.

2. Refrigerated dough for about an hour, or until it stiffens up. Then make balls out of the dough and roll in sugar.

These look and sound so tasty. I love that you used vanilla wafers (they were my favorite store-brought cookie growing up!) Thank you for sharing such sweetness! I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow. Merry Christmas!
