Cruising Carnival: Part II

Our next port on our Carnival Cruise was suppose to be Belize, but we had to skip it due to weather. So we reached our final port Cozumel a day early. Cozumel has been on our list of places to visit for such a long time, and we were so excited to go. We got off the boat early and rented a Jeep for the day to ride around and explore on our own.
We quickly realized that this island is absolutely stunning. The views as you drive will just take your breath away. I definitely recommend exploring on your own here. There’s so much to do and see. We also spent some time riding around downtown, seeing how people lived, driving off the beaten path. Everyone was super friendly. We had lunch at a local restaurant and spotted a play area in the back of the restaurant. We soon realized it was the exact same playset we have in our own backyard. The kids had a blast playing on “their playset.”

We had a beautiful day and headed back to the ship a little early. Both the kids feel asleep in the Jeep and we could smell a storm rolling in.
We got back to the ship just in time to watch the storm clouds roll in and catch a quick nap before dinner.
For dinner we tried out Carnival Magic’s Prime Steakhouse. The ambience was really cool.
We took both the kids. My son couldn’t wait to try it out, and we took our chances with the little girl.
They were so accommodating though. They had a very nice high chair to put her in. She munched on fresh bread while she waited for her mashed potatoes. And she ate the mashed potatoes until our dinner arrived and then she had to sample what was on our plates. She even made it through dessert. My husband and her ordered Bailey’s ice cream, and she devoured it. It wasn’t until my husband thought he could enjoy an after dinner Sambuca that she started getting antsy.
We all had different appetizers, but for our entree, we all got the filet.
It was cooked perfect. Everything was so delicious and the experience was wonderful.
Our next day was a sea day, and we spent it relaxing, playing on the water slides and wondering around the ship, and enjoying the views.
On our last day we had a Dr. Seuss breakfast.
My son had green eggs and ham.
And my daughter had cereal crusted French toast while my husband and I had filet mignon and eggs. It was the best breakfast!
My daughter was fascinated with the characters.
We can’t wait to go back and cruise with Carnival again. Every experience we’ve had with them has been so amazing!
