Everyday Entertaining with Gloria Ferrer

When we remolded our kitchen a few years ago, I made sure to add a wine cooler. It’s been one of my favorite things about our kitchen. We love to have a nice selection of wines on hand when guests come over, so I make sure to keep it stocked at all times with great wines.
I love to serve sparkling wines to our guests when we have dinner parties or get-togethers. They are fun and delicious and pair wonderfully with lots of different appetizers, dinner and dessert items. I mean who doesn’t love bubbles?
Even if I know I’ll be serving a certain wine with dinner, I always serve a sparkling wine with the appetizers and again with dessert before coffee. I find that changing wines with the courses you serve at dinner parties makes things feel more elegant.
Sparkling wines are also great for Funday Sunday brunches with friends. What’s more fun than opening a bottle of sparkling wine mid-morning on the weekend and enjoying it with good friends and amazing food!
One of my favorite brands to keep on hand is Gloria Ferrer sparkling wines. Did you know that Gloria Ferrer is California’s most awarded sparkling wine house? It has received over 500 gold medals and 50 90+ ratings in the last 5 years. Now that’s impressive!
I always keep a few bottles in my wine fridge of both the Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut and Gloria Ferrer Blanc De Noirs. They are equally delicious, but have different notes. I like to serve the Gloria Ferrer Blanc De Noirs mainly with fruity deserts, and full flavored appetizers like meat and cheese trays. You can also serve it with fuller flavored entrees.
For the Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut, it’s a little more crisp and pairs better with lighter foods. I like to serve it with lighter appetizers like veggie trays and simple desserts like pots de creme. Main course dishes like fish and chicken are also good pairings.
