The Great American Stand-Tacular
Who want’s lemonade? With a heat wave sweeping the country, what better way to cool off than with a nice cold glass of lemonade. My son has been so excited about this little lemonade stand, he even let me help him with putting it together, under his supervision of course. He’s quite the little micromanaging perfectionist, but I guess he gets it honest.
Best of all, Julien’s little lemonade stand will help a worthy cause. Country Time Lemonade has invited my family, along with families across the nation to join in the fun and help launch the “Great American Lemonade Stand-tacular” this summer. Want to create your own lemonade stand? You can by downloading a FREE “Stand Plan” on Country Time’s Facebook page. It’s an interactive guide to help you plan your lemonade stand, along with business basics for kids like how to make change and how to be polite to lemonade customers. There’s also some fun cutouts so you can make the banner shown on our lemonade stand.
After your done, don’t forget to upload a photo of your lemonade stand to Country Time’s Great American Stand-tacular’s Facebook page this summer. Why? Because County Time will donate $5 (up to $50,000) to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to help fight childhood cancer for every family lemonade stand photo uploaded.
Through the Great American Lemonade Stand-Tacular, Country Time will be supporting other key fundraising events including Midwest Lemonade Days in Kansas City, MO, and Alex’s Original Lemonade Stand event in Philadelphia, PA, the charity’s marquee annual event.
We choose Country Time’s Original classic lemonade to serve at our lemonade stand. But did you realize that there’s 3 more great flavors? There’s Pink Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade and Half and Half (half iced tea and half lemonade, my favorite!) With just a pitcher of water, some ice cubes and spoon, my son and I stirred up an afternoon of fun for the entire neighborhood!
Not only does Country Time provide authentic, fresh made lemonade that everyone enjoys, but its Great American Stand-tacular program also helps kids learn valuable lessons of entrepreneurship and giving back to others in need, values I definitely want my kids to inherit!
