Even though I’m still trying to eat healthier, I still like to make healthy fat filled treats for my son like this peanut butter banana milkshake. He’s got the same problem both my husband and I had when we were young, it’s hard to keep him from being too skinny. That’s great news for him now because he can eat whatever he wants until he grows up. I tell him everyday to enjoy it while it lasts!
To make this milkshake, I used TruMoo chocolate milk. It is a flavored milk that is nutritious and delicious! TruMoo contains no artificial growth hormones* and has been formulated to contain less added sugar and calories than other chocolate milk formulas. It is sweetened with just enough sugar to supplement the naturally occurring sugar in milk and it contains no high fructose corn syrup. TruMoo tastes great for snacks and also is great for recipes.
I love that TruMoo doesn’t have too much sugar. I’m not concerned about how much fat and calories he takes in since his metabolism is so high, but I’m concerned about his sugar intake. I try to keep it as low as possible by serving him low sugar breakfast cereals and low sugar milk like TruMoo.
