Lawry’s Get Grilling Kit Giveaway

The information, sample, prize pack, and giveaway have all been provided by Lawry’s through MyBlogSpark.

We were contacted through MyBlogSpark by Lawry’s to try two of their new grilling marinades. They sent us a great get grilling kit that included two of their new marinades, Tuscan Sun-Dried Tomato and Szechuan Sweet & Sour BBQ, a set of skewers, and a marinating dish. We tried the Szechuan Sweet & Sour BBQ marinade first. I used it on some wings and then baked the wings on a rack in the oven instead of firing up the grill. They turned out very good. I served them with oven roasted corn and roasted zucchini and yellow squash. The marinade was not too spicy, but still packed lots of flavor. The second one we tried was the Tuscan Sun-Dried Tomato. I also used that marinade on wings. I cooked them the same way on a rack in the oven. They also turned out delicious. I served them with oven roasted corn and roasted zucchini and tomatoes with Italian herbs.

Now time for the fun part! One of my readers who comments below also has a chance to win their very own prize pack from Lawry’s. It includes a marinating dish with lid, a set of skewars, and thir two new marinades, Tuscan Sun-Dried Tomato and Szechuan Sweet & Sour BBQ. The winner will be chosen by Random.org. Giveaway ends July 16 at midnight. Winner announced July 17rd. Winner must respond back to me with contact info within 72 hours, or I’ll go to the next winner. Void where prohibited. Must be over 18 years.

Just tell me in the comment section below about your favorite marinade.

For extra entries, share on Facebook, stumble, retweet, blog it, or link to me somehow. I’m not picky. Just leave an additional comment for each extra entry you do so I can count them easily. Thanks for participating!

I love grilling out, and that sundried tomato marinade sounds fantastic. I like to play around with all types actually. Not sure I have a favorite. Simple go-to would be balsamic vinaigrette. But I also like sweet and spicy like mango habanero.

Havana-Garlic–Lime is my favorite Lawry’s Marinade. I keep a bottle in my pantry all the time. It goes great with chicken and pork and I often reduce down the marinade and use it as a sauce, sometimes adding more heat from a few Hawaiian chiles.

I think my favorite is one my husband makes from soy sauce, onions, etc. He marinated the steaks overnight & they are so tender & juicy on the grill.

Definitely count me in for the giveaway–it’s a toss up between giving it to Shaun or my dad!

I already posted a favorite marinade… but just had to share this Lawry’s story after Karen’s post. I grew up in S. CA and when I was a little girl (fifty + years ago) my mother would take me to do the grocery shopping once a month at Ralph’s Grocery Store. They had a lunch counter there and the BIGGEST treat of the day was that after we had finished our shopping we would go to the lunch counter where they had what we would now call an *exhibition kitchen* (laughing just a bit here) and there I got to order a *special* hamburger. They had a giant bottle of Lawry’s Season Salt and would shake it on the meat as it grilled and then they would top the burger with coleslaw. That my friends was the highlight of my six year old life and one of my first food memories.

My favorite marinade is one my dad uses on chicken wings he makes for poker parties in the crockpot. They are DELICIOUS!! It includes soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, ginger, and garlic. The recipe can be found here: http://heatskitchen.blogspot.com/2009/12/dads-chicken-wings.html

I just love Lawry marinades. The tuscan sundried tomato sounds wonderful and I cannot wait to try it. Currenlty we are just using a basic marinade of Dale’s Sauce and Italian Salad Dressing (sometimes we substitute the sundried tomato dressing for the Italian), let it marinade over night and steaks are heavenly. We won’t even go out for steak anymore as my husband says he can get a better one at home. Thanks for all your hardwork and the wonderul recipes that you bring to me. Many Blessings! Tammy

I usually make my own marinade, but recently used Bull’s Guiness BBQ sauce – it was sooo good! Can’t wait to try Lawry’s – the SunDried Tomato sounds perfect for summer grilling.

    ReTweeted you as well. 🙂
